Khadia alticola is a fairly rare and new variety, first published in 1995. Native to the higher elevations in Mpumalanga South Africa where it can survive sub freezing conditions and even occasional snow. It’s a non invasive and has a compact and low clump forming growth. A beautiful addition to any alpine garden, they appear almost translucent in the the sun and the flowers are larger than you would expect.
